When you travel to Orlando, you will definitely need transport. The big question is whether to hire a car or use a taxi, Uber, or Lyft. Both have their advantages and disadvantages.

Hiring a car

• Can be expensive once you add on insurance

• There is often a long queue when you collect your car at the airport

• You will need to pay for parking at all the theme parks

• The journey to and from the car parks can be long

• Do not even consider drinking and driving

Using a taxi, Uber, or Lyft

• You do need to download the app on your phone in advance

• At busy times there can be a wait for your driver, perhaps 15 to 25 minutes

• Rates fluctuate depending on how busy the demand is

• No parking charges

• You can enjoy a beer or glass of wine with your meal
